Why Gravity Take-Up Matters

A conveyor belt must maintain constant, optimal tension to run properly. Without it, you risk belt slippage, mistracking, excessive wear, and costly downtime. A gravity take-up solves this problem by using a weighted pulley system that automatically compensates for belt stretch and load variations.

How It Works:

Pulleys: Two bend pulleys and one gravity take-up pulley manage belt slack.
Counterweight: A heavy weight applies a consistent downward force.
Automatic Adjustment: As the belt stretches, gravity lowers the pulley to keep the belt taut.

This simple, self-regulating mechanism ensures constant tension under all conditions, from startup surges to fluctuating loads.
